Already got a mortgage :: RE: refund on private mortgage ensurance? Author: caronSubject: RE: Posted: Thu Jul 28, 2005 7:17 am (GMT 0) Topic Replies: 1 Hi Guest Whether you will get a refund, depends on your premium plan. Generally plans related to private mortgage insurance require you to pay monthly for the PMI. When the insurance is cancelled you may stop paying premiums, but don't get a refund. There are plans when you are required to pay the premium at closing or annually. In such cases you may get a refund. It is better that you ask your lender regarding the insurance refund before or at closing. Please feel free to write back with further queries. Regards, Caron.
